Isotropic / Anisotropic Hybrid Rare Earth and Ferrite Bonded Magnets are a mix of Rare Earth and Ferrite materials primarily developed to achieve comparatively higher magnetic properties than Injection Bonded Ferrites but at an affordable cost compared to the Injection Bonded Rare Earth Magnets. Sintered Ferrite Magnets can be replaced in a lot of applications by proper selection of Hybrid magnetic material It is a very promising material for the future due to advantages of higher magnetic properties than Ferrite Magnets and lower costs than the Rare Earth Magnets Various properties like the Surface Flux Density at various air gaps, the intrinsic Coercive force and temperature coefficient of the magnet material can be adjusted to suit the application Various other magnetic and non-magnetic inclusions in the material matrix open the door for endless mix of physical and magnetic characteristics BCN – Bonded Compression Neo BCNF – Bonded Neo Ferrite Hybrid BIF – Bonded Injection Ferrite BIN – Bonded Injection Neo BIS – Bonded Injection SmCo N – Sintered NdFeB C – Sintered SrFe2O3 Ferrites S – Sintered SmCo5, Sm2Co17 A – Cast and Sintered AlNiCo Hybrid Magnets can be made by Compression Molding (BCNF and BCNU) or by Injection Molding (BINF) with resins such as Nylon 6, Nylon 12 or PPS. The resulting grades have properties that cannot be achieved by typical Ferrite, SmCo or NdFeB bonded molding processes.
